Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing practice that promotes relaxation and balance. At TUA Purr Sitter, we bring this calming experience to cats and their humans.
For cats, reiki can reduce stress, ease anxiety, and support overall well-being, especially for those who are shy or adjusting to change. For humans, it offers a moment of calm, helping to relieve tension and foster a deeper connection with your pet.
Root Chakra (Muladhara): Located at the base of the spine or tail, this chakra is about your cat’s sense of safety and survival. It governs their instinct to feel secure in their home, trust in their environment, and basic needs like food and shelter. A balanced root chakra helps your cat feel grounded and calm.
Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana): Found in the lower abdomen, this chakra relates to your cat’s emotions, creativity, and joy. It’s tied to their playfulness, curiosity, and ability to enjoy life, like chasing toys or basking in the sun. A healthy sacral chakra supports a happy, expressive cat.
Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): Positioned in the stomach area, this chakra reflects your cat’s confidence and energy. It’s about their sense of control, assertiveness, and vitality, like confidently exploring their territory. A balanced solar plexus chakra keeps your cat bold and energetic.
Heart Chakra (Anahata): Located in the chest, this chakra is all about love and connection. It governs your cat’s ability to bond with you, other pets, or their environment, showing affection through cuddles or gentle head-butts. A strong heart chakra fosters a loving, trusting cat.
Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): Found at the throat, this chakra controls communication. For your cat, it’s expressed through meows, purrs, or even hisses to convey needs or feelings. A balanced throat chakra helps your cat communicate clearly and feel understood.
Third Eye Chakra (Ajna): Positioned on the forehead, this chakra is linked to intuition and awareness. It’s about your cat’s sharp instincts, like sensing changes in their environment or reacting to subtle cues. A healthy third eye chakra enhances their alertness and perception.
Crown Chakra (Sahasrara): Located at the top of the head, this chakra connects to your cat’s spiritual well-being and harmony. It reflects their inner peace and connection to their surroundings, like calmly napping in a favourite spot. A balanced crown chakra supports a serene, content cat.
During a 30-minute session (£25), our reiki practitioner will visit your home. We create a peaceful environment, allowing your cat to relax naturally. The practitioner channels healing energy through light touch or from a short distance, depending on your cat’s comfort. You can join in, feeling the soothing energy too!
Reiki helps with stress, anxiety, and emotional imbalances for both cats and humans. It can also support physical healing, improve sleep, and enhance the bond between you and your pet.
